You don’t know me at all.

I grew up in a household terrorized by a psychopath. I was severely traumatized by my childhood. I have spent the past seventeen years in intense recovery. And yes, life was amazing even while I was being abused, but for no one.

Life was also amazing when I was in hospital in 2017, in the intensive care unit, in extreme pain, not knowing if I would die or just lose my arm or suffer a stroke. Life was amazing in hospital, but for no one.

I’m not willing to play a game of “I’m a bigger victim than you.” There is no victim; there is only what seems to be happening.

Change is possible for whomever chooses it, but change is not necessary to recognize that life is perfect just as it is right now, but for no one.
