At the heart of religion is the idea that you can be saved. Whether it’s Buddhism and the idea of annihilation of the self or Christianity and the idea of being saved and going to heaven. This is all centered around a self and some kind of exit for the self into a Self. There is no self to be saved. There is no self that becomes or discovers itSelf. Reality is completely impersonal. There is no one who will ever be liberated. There is nothing that needs to be any different than it is. There is only this totally impersonal freedom.
