I don’t know man, I feel like most people are living with the ‘self-illusion’ — we can’t all be Buddhist monks. So the idea that we don’t have free will is an essentially disempowering one.

The self-illusion (illusion of there being a subject) seems to perceive objects and other subjects everywhere, when in fact there are none.

There’s no one to be disempowered.
