Remember that Apple is (or has recently been) the most valuable company in the world, and that computers existed long before Apple. I think that a better analogy might be bitcoin=myspace; ?=facebook. Or bitcoin=yahoo; ?=google. But I don’t think that cryptocurrency is the killer app for distributed blockchain anyway, at least from an investment standpoint.

Note also that IBM is a shadow of its former self, an irrelevant company on its way to extinction.
