I've called myself an Ecstatic Atheist before. I don't believe in God, but only because I have direct experience of God. It's not really that there is anyone who can know anything. What seems to conceal the nonseparation, that is all there is, that is what some have referred to as God, is the illusion that there is someone witnessing it. When that illusion stops, God is revealed (to no one) as all there is. It's what you might call a mystical experience, but it's not an experience and it's totally mundane. So yeah, there's nobody who can know God, but God can, and is, revealed. Then faith is not necessary and scripture is both transformed and irrelevant.
