I’m not recommending this. People are definitely not disposable commodities. I recommend cherishing others and also cherishing yourself. Often, people like me don’t end relationships when we should because we are overly taking care of the needs of the other, or overly committing to the other. For people like me, it makes sense to sometime be courageous, and do the challenging thing, which is to end a relationship that is not working, and cannot be made to work. Eventually it will happen anyway, against your will, as it did in the story I wrote.
