Hi Jeffrey, I suspect that the vinegar will work as a fungicide and anti-bacterial, and it might remove smells, but I don’t think that it will have the effect of dissolving the food source. It certainly won’t remove visible grease from sheets, for example, or dark marks from the armpits of t-shirts.
