I appreciate you bringing that to my attention. It’s exactly the point of my article: “all men are trash” cannot literally mean that all men are trash, and it’s also clearly not a statement to be argued with. It doesn’t need to be a viral hash-tag to be heard and understood.

My article was clearly aimed at men. I didn’t know that it was possible to mansplain to men. At least for me, that usage of “mansplain” seems to undermine the concept.
