Great points. And I think that you’re postulating a lot about what they knew and decided. Also, we can buy thirty-party cables and tools. I almost never buy Apple-branded cables. I have also repairs many of my own Apple products using third-party tools. It sounds like you have a strong emotional bias against Apple.
