It’s day 41, and I feel in control of myself.
I’ve got to 3:30 on the elbow plank, and done a 30-second unsupported handstand hold two days in a row. My peak brain score has started going up again. I think that it took a while for my brain to adjust to being properly hydrated. I’m now drinking over 100 ounces of water per day, a lot more than I used to.
Cold showers are now enjoyable to me. I enjoy moving my back side-to-side under the stream of water, and feeling the sensation. It’s a pleasant sensation. I don’t feel cold anymore, even as my breath fogs the glass of the shower. I feel calm and invigorated.
When I first started taking breaks to do kettlebell swings (1.5 pood), I was doing five swings at a time. Now I do twenty every time. We’re going to bed earlier, around 8 pm each night. We’re still clearing out stuff that we don’t need, listing another item on eBay each day. People are also dropping by from Craigslist to collect things every day.
The zero refined sugar goal is going flawlessly. I get no cravings for sugar at all. We were pretty much already doing this for the first thirty days of the lifestyle challenge, so it’s not much of a change.
